After a long wait of 7 years Sony on this auspicious season has come out as Santa for the PS gaming console lovers. Sony has launched PS4 quoting that, 'PS4 is roughly ten times more powerful than PS3'. The PS lovers are still left with the choice of PS3 over PS4 as Sony has not discontinued the manufacturing of PS3. So the biggest question arisen over here is that, should one upgrade to PS4 from PS3 or should continue with PS3?
here I have some specifications of both the PS consoles :
Apart from the processor in both the consoles, one more important specification is the architecture of both the consoles is totally different. Saying that both the consoles are quite similar might be wrong. PS3 is a deep console with 275mm wide & 305mm deep, while PS4 has much more slanted sides & is much more angular than PS3. One fact that can't be denied is that if you're low on space then PS4 should be your choice. PS4 has come out with the required amount of colors & light in it as compared to PS3. Well, this might not be the best graphics till date but yes it is far better than PS3 graphics, good work by Sony. PS4 has turned out much more like a PC as it gives connectivity & sharing with wifi/iPhone/iPod/iPad/andro devices as well, which is truly recommendable.
Now comes the most essential comparison factor, the price factor. The sony PS4 starts at the range of Rs. 39,990 without any games, so you'll only be getting a console and it's controller & moreover the games are not available at cheap price. The PS4 games are expected to start not less than Rs. 5,000 or more. Whereas PS3 starts at Rs. 17,000 or even cheaper & yes the games are far more cheaper than PS4 games, considering the fact that it has been eight years since the launch of PS3. You can buy two PS3 at the price of one PS4. So would you will to spent that much?
Here is my final verdict for both the consoles. It's clear from the above comparison that PS4 is far more better than PS3 in all the aspects except the price factor. But PS4 is a must have console for the passionate gamers while PS3 is for casual gamers. But will one pay 20K more over PS3 for that experience? PS4 could have been more cheaper as it does not worth that much bucks. If PS4 would have been priced around Rs. 30,000 - Rs. 35,000 then without any doubt I would have recommended for PS4.
